Macro turns meal photos and food names into estimated nutrition. This page explains what we collect, how the service works, and where to get help.
This Privacy Policy describes how ADACOMP LLC (“Macro,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Macro iOS application and related services.
Macro is designed around a device-based account. You do not need to give us your name or email address to begin using the app. Information saved through the app may still be linked to the device account identifier we assign to you.
Meal photos and food descriptions are transmitted to AI service providers through Kie.ai, including underlying model providers, so that Macro can create nutrition estimates and generated images. We also use infrastructure and database hosting providers to run the service, RevenueCat to manage subscription entitlement information, and Apple for App Store purchases and push notifications. These providers process information on our behalf or under their own terms where applicable.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your information for cross-app behavioral advertising or advertising tracking.
We keep account, profile, generation, analysis, meal history, and subscription records for as long as needed to provide Macro, maintain security and billing records, comply with law, and resolve disputes. Provider-side copies may remain for limited backup, security, or legal retention periods.
You may request deletion of your Macro account and associated data by emailing support@dockup.ai with the subject “Macro data deletion request.” Because Macro uses a device-based account, we may ask for an in-app identifier or other reasonable verification before processing the request. Deleting Macro data does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription.
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect information. No storage or transmission system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to applicable safeguards and legal requirements.
Macro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or legal guardian must authorize use. Contact us if you believe a child provided information without appropriate consent.
We may update this policy as Macro changes. The effective date above shows the latest revision. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or by another reasonable method.
These Terms govern your access to Macro. By downloading, accessing, purchasing, or using Macro, you agree to them.
You must be at least 13 and legally able to accept these Terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them for you. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and for activity associated with your device-based Macro account.
Macro uses artificial intelligence to estimate food identity, ingredients, serving size, calories, and nutrients from photos or text. It can also create a stylized visual representation of a meal. You may edit portions and save meals to your history.
Food composition, preparation method, hidden ingredients, and portion size often cannot be determined precisely from a photo or short description. You are responsible for reviewing and, as appropriate, correcting results before relying on or saving them. Generated meal images are illustrative and may differ from the actual food.
You may not:
You retain rights you have in content you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide license to host, copy, transmit, process, modify, and display that content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service. Macro, including its software, design, branding, and non-user content, is owned by ADACOMP LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable law.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, misuse, or violation of these Terms. You may stop using Macro at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Macro is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted operation or that AI results will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ADACOMP LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, health decisions, or lost profits arising from Macro. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to Macro will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for Macro in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law in your location applies. Courts located in New York County, New York will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
These Terms are between you and ADACOMP LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Macro or its support. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, may enforce them against you. Your use of Macro must also comply with applicable App Store terms.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after an updated effective date means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law. If a change requires additional consent, we will request it.

AI nutrition is approximate. Use a clear, well-lit photo, keep the full meal visible, and edit the portion or ingredients before saving. Never use an estimate for allergy safety.
Use Restore in the paywall with the same Apple ID used for purchase. Check your Apple subscription settings if access does not return, then contact us with the product and purchase date—never send payment card details.
On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, select Macro, and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple controls billing and refunds for App Store purchases.
Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Macro and enable notifications. Low Power Mode, network conditions, and system notification settings can affect delivery.
Email us from this page with “Macro data request” in the subject. Include the request type and the device/account identifier shown in the app if available. Do not send sensitive medical information.
